UFC 120 thoughts

 I am really looking forward to this free ppv for one reason it has two of my least favorite fighters fighting guys that I think will kill them. Heres the card.
James Wilks vs. Claude Patrick
Cheick Kongo vs. Travis Browne
John Hathaway vs. Mike Pyle
Dan Hardy vs. Carlos Condit
Michael Bisping vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama

Here is how it will go down:

1) Claude Patrick will beat? James Wilks via sub. I know wilks but I don't know patrick.
2) Travis Browne will beat Cheick Kongo via KO
3) John Hathaway will beat Mike Pyle Via Decision
4) Carlos Condit will kill Dan Hardy via Sub (I hate hardy)
5) Yoshihiro Akiyama will beat Michael Bisping via KO. Note this match wont be a ground fight Bisping has good take down defense. (I hate bisping)

Strikeforce: San Jose Thoughts

So lets get into it heres the card:
Nick Diaz vs. KJ Noons
Sarah Kaufman vs. Marloes Coenen
Josh Thomson vs. Gesias Cavalcante
Tyron Woodley vs. André Galvão

And this is how it will go down:
1) André Galvão will beat Tyron Woodley via Decision
2) Josh Thomson will beat Gesias Cavalcante via Decision
3) Sarah Kaufman will beat Marloes Coenen via TKO. One thing... Why the Fuck! does Marloes Coenen get a title match she comes into strikeforce off of a lose and wins her first fight which the one fight win streak earns her a title match with Cristiane Santos. Which she got her ass kicked! after that she drops in weight and Once again OFF A LOSE gets a title shot for Sarah Kaufman title. Not saying she can't win or that shes bad but she hasn't proven herself to fight for the title. It makes the belt look bad. I really don't think women right now should have titles because there really isn't enough women in the sport to have titles. like who in the women's mma can beat Santos...no one shes going to have the title and defeat 10 other women and go down in history for most title defenses for women because there was no competition at the time. I am not saying they shouldn't get titles I am just say there need to be more women in the sport to warrant belts. This match shows that, they don't have anyone else that is good to fight Sarah and so they have to give it to Coenen who should have won at least 3 more fights in that weight class before being given a title shot. I just hate it when a fighter hasn't shown that they should be in a title fight. For example I don't think Cain Velasquez should get a title fight. I was wanting Cain Velasquez Vs Junior dos Santos for the number one contender BUT ufc wants it to be Cain Velasquez VS Brock and then winner of that will fight Junior dos Santos which then who after that rematches?

Bottom line NO one off a lose should get a title match! or even off of one win.

1) Melvin Guillard vs. Jeremy Stephens
Guillard will KO Stephens in the 2nd round (Can Guillard be getting a title shot soon?)

2) Sean Sherk vs. Evan Dunham
I am going to go with Dunham on this. I think he will get a sub or a Decision
Sherk wins via SD that's just bad Dunham should have won

Matt Serra vs. Chris Lytle
This is a hard fight both have KO power and Lytle has been amazing lately and has never been Ko'd tko's or subed (hes lost twice due to cut). So Lytle will beat Serra
Lytle wins via UD

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Ryan Bader
I hate this match up because Lil Nog will lose to Bader. But I am going to Nog I don't know how or even think so but I can hope can't I?
I find it funny how one point can piss me off Bader wins via UD 30-27 which it should have been 29-28

Frank Mir vs. Mirko Filipović
Mir's size will be to much for cro cop to handle I think. lets just hope he doesn't get nutted 4 times. (Cro cop vs Overeem) I think Mir will Tko cro cop in the 1st.

So lets get into it first off:
1) Yusuke Kawaguchi vs James Thompson
I have to go with Kawaguchi just because I don't know whats not working with Thompson
Kawaguchi won a SD but I have to say I feel bad for Thompson because he seems like a really nice guy.

2) Mitsuhiro Ishida vs. Akiyo Nishiura
Ishida will win via decision
Ishida wins a SD

3) Kazuyuki Miyata vs. Takeshi Inoue
This one is hard because I don't know either of the fighters and so I will go with Inoue
Once I found out who Miyata was I knew I would lose so Miyata wins Via UD

4) Hideo Tokoro vs. Joachim Hansen
Tokoro will win Via sub
Hansen won Via sub

5) Michihiro Omigawa vs. Cole Escovedo via sub in the first
I really like Omigawa so I think he will beat Escovedo

I think Takaya will beat Beebe Via KO in the first

The Red Shoes #44

Watched this film about a week ago and I have to say, a year ago I would have never bought a film called The Red Shoes and with that said I love this movie. Once I saw the little bit on Criterions site for it, I had to check this film out. The lead actress does a great job in the movie same with the two male actors. I loved the Red Shoes play that is in the film and would love to see it live. The music, makeup and costumes where all great.

I would say that everyone should own this blu ray the picture and sound are just out of this world. Criterion went out of their way to give use this amazing transfer and hopefully with this dvd release this film will live for ever. The only thing that makes me sad is that most kids now a days won't ever watch this film.

Revanche #502

I watched Revanche about 3 weeks ago and I loved this film. It builds and builds all the way till the end when you get a really intense scene I really loved the ending I sat forward in my character with my elbow on my desk just waiting to see what was going to happen.. There is so little talking in this movie that it plays like a silent film and uses the characters and land to show the mood and feeling. The blue ray picture and sound was presented beautifully.

When watching the film I found myself hating the cop for what he had done but by the end of the movie I found myself on the cops side.  I loved the movie as a whole there was no part of it that I thought was boring or dragged. The forest sequences looked great on film.

UFC 119 Thoughts

Okay so just a few things first before I get into the main card. Mark Hunt is fighting on the under card as the first fight of the night. Now I would love to see him on spike TV live or even on the main card! I am hoping he will win his fight. One more thing I hope that Joey Beltran knocks Matt Mitrione's ass the fuck out. I also hope Joe doerksen destroys CB. Anyways now that I got that out of the way on with the card!
